Solutions Specialist (Workflow Products & Services)

Simplify Compliance, a leader in providing mission-critical regulatory and business information, analysis, and tools is currently seeking a motivated professional to join our workflow solutions team.

Job Summary

The Solutions Specialist will generate revenue by cultivating sales via outbound customer prospecting, networking, sales list utilization, renewal, referral and marketing efforts, etc.  Within defined parameters, the Solutions Specialist will be responsible for establishing sales leads, conducting product demonstrations, negotiating contract elements, ensuring product placement/installation and customer care.  This position will have full responsibility for prospecting, securing and managing customer relationships across a defined set of workflow solutions.

The position will report to the Sales Director.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Aggressively prospect, develop and close leads through sales lists, lead generation, referrals, networking, etc.
  • Grow customer base by acquiring new customers and supporting existing customers via outbound and inbound calls, web services, etc.
  • Establish trust partnerships and new avenues to achieve increased market share and revenue growth with new and existing customers
  • Meet with existing and potential clients, communicate with customers via phone, email, and teleconference, conduct needs assessments, advise customers on suitability of products and solutions based on their technical needs, prepare proposals, negotiate pricing and contracts, and develop strategic plans related to the customer and the proposed solution
  • Develop proposals, conduct demos, and manage RFP/RFI and contract processes
  • Deliver product demonstrations and sales presentations via web conferencing and onsite visits
  • Champion client relationship from engagement, needs assessment, presentation, contract negotiation, order, implementation through delivery
  • Provide feedback from customer and key internal stakeholders including marketing, development and support services to protect and/or enhance the value proposition to ensure stability to and opportunity for expanded partner relationships
  • Conduct outreach and ensures satisfaction with products and services and continuous alignment of partner and company objectives
  • Stay current with changes and developments in assigned experience area.  This might include gathering competitive information on products and services and sharing this information with the product development, marketing, customer service and executive teams
  • Travel to key trade shows/conferences and on-site visits for larger customer opportunities

Additional Responsibilities

  • Willingness and ability to travel if needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an inside, outside or consultative sales capacity cultivating customer relationships, supporting existing customers and generating sales revenue
  • Demonstrated experience managing and achieving aggressive sales targets
  • Sales experience in a B2B mixed media organization preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and geographically dispersed work environment

The Individual

  • Experience in the Human Capital Management, Healthcare and/or Telecommunications industries preferred
  • Entrepreneurial and self-sufficient with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively working in a collaborative team or individual environment
  • The ability to cross-functionally collaborate, innovate, coordinate and influence across product, content and revenue cycle stakeholders
  • Positive attitude and collaborative approach to working with others, innovative problem solver driven by the drive to deliver expected results
