Event Recruitment Representative

Exciting opportunity to join a CT shoreline employer!   Are you outgoing and do you enjoy talking to people on the phone?  Our Old Saybrook office is seeking an Event Recruitment Representative.   We are looking for a motivated individual with outbound call experience.  This is an excellent opportunity for a recent grad looking to start their career and grow with a company. 

Job Summary:

The Event Recruitment Representative will be responsible for identifying, recruiting, and qualifying senior executives and decision makers to attend highly structured networking and conference events across the United States.  The Event Recruitment Representative will support events across multiple industries including the Healthcare, Human Capital Management, Safety, Customer service, Facilities and Security markets.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research, identify, educate and recruit attendees for events via multiple and unique channels of communication, including phone calls, email, social networking platforms, networking, referrals, databases, etc.
  • Through proactive network and relationship building, develop and nurture relationships with senior executives and decision makers in the markets we serve to secure their attendance at event
  • Partner with sales, product and marketing teams to manage process and develop communication materials
  • Develop and present creative new ideas for recruiting and retaining attendees
  • Refine and evaluate attendee sourcing strategies and process to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Attend events as assigned to network with attendees and support positive employee experience efforts

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Travel to at least 2 conferences annually

The Individual:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Customer-focused, professional and courteous manner while driving to achieve event goals
  • Self-motivated and goal orientated with ability to meet both individual and team targets
  • Eager to get on the phone every day and talk with our event network.
  • Effective time management skills, with strong organization and ability to prioritize

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 2 years of marketing or sales experience
  • Experience prospecting senior executives preferred
  • Computer proficiency with MS Suite, Word and Outlook required
  • Experience with cold-calling and social network platforms required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
