National Accounts Manager - TN

The National Accounts Manager (NAM) position is responsible for building a customer base by acquiring new customers and working with repeat customers via the phone and email, and including on-site visits, or tradeshow attendance. The NAM works with key stakeholders to schedule scoping calls with potential clients and create contracts using existing templates. This person works in defined markets and with certain products within the healthcare industry and will be responsible for understanding the customer base and applicable HCPro products/services for that specific customer base. Products and services include: Onsite classroom training, online learning and custom education as well as enterprise solutions for certain Healthcare related topics such as ICD-10, HIPAA etc. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Grow customer base by acquiring new customers and supporting existing customers via outbound and inbound calls and the web
  • Obtain a fundamental understanding of key products and services in order to conduct quality conversations and provide information in a consultative way
  • Work with internal stakeholders (e.g. Marketing, Product) to provide feedback from customers
  • Partner with Product/National Sales/Licensing sales team members to refer and or include the proper stakeholders for appropriate opportunities/leads in an efficient and effective manner as more fully outlined in the annual incentive compensation plan
  • Partner with Sales Account Managers to leverage relationships, information, and coverage of the market.
  • Manage multiple campaign lists and databases/programs
  • Meet or exceed sales goals as set by management using tools such as
  • Travel to key trade shows/conferences and on-site visits for larger customer opportunities
  • Deliver product demonstrations and sales presentations via web conferencing and onsite visits

The Individual:

  • Solid working skills with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Self-motivated, strong organizational skills, goal driven
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prospect within a territory 
  • Working knowledge of healthcare terminology is a plus


  • 1-2 yrs. healthcare sales experience with specialties in revenue cycle, accreditation and risk management
  • AS degree; BA/BS preferred
