Junior Business Development (Sales)

datacenterHawk, an industry leader in data center research, seeks an ambitious Jr. Business Development Associate (BDA) to join the sales team in our Dallas office. Our research, in combination with the datacenterHawk platform, enables our customers to make better data center real estate decisions. The main responsibilities of the BDA will be to grow new business and nurture existing relationships.

Job Summary:

The Junior Business Development Associate is responsible identifying new business opportunities and assist the sales team in pursuit of those opportunities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Independently research and understand various customer personas and lines of business and how they relate to the datacenterHawk product offering.
  • Use research to grow the new business pipeline by utilizing various forms of communication to create opportunities for the sales team to connect with prospects.
  • Manage inbound leads, provide value-add touches and support senior roles
  • Conduct various tasks via Salesforce
  • Serve as an enthusiastic and professional brand ambassador for datacenterHawk.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Assist greater sales team on ad hoc initiatives around prospecting, evaluating and implementing new sales technologies

The Individual:

  • Experience in a sales role, including identifying new customers, nurturing relationships, and moving sales prospects through the sales funnel
  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate including data center transactions
  • Highly organized with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented, strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong presentation, writing, and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, team player with ability develop relationships with business stakeholders
  • Experience with Salesforce

Qualifications:

  • Available to work in Dallas, TX office full-time
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer-facing role, cultivating and managing business development
