.NET Software Engineer

The .Net Software Engineer performs a variety of roles in the creation and maintenance of solutions (including data infrastructure, reporting, and applications) that address the informational and analytical needs of service providers and enterprise businesses. These roles stem from all phases of the project lifecycle and include requirements gathering, solution design, application development, and system testing.

Works closely with and in support of Product Managers and Analysts to expose informational, analytical, or workflow-optimizing needs. Under the general direction of management by the President, in this role you will interact with business partners of varying associate/management levels to ensure clarity of the problem/opportunity and business requirements.

Working with senior staff members, you will design, implement, and maintain products that address business needs and achieve strategic goals. This may include analyzing, researching, processing and administering industry data; analyzing, developing and deploying reports; and analyzing, designing, creating, and testing software applications.

Required Qualifications: 

  • College degree and 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Experience developing object-oriented software using C# or Java
  • Experience with web service development (e.g.WebAPI, Restful Services, JSON)
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle)
  • Ability to translate functional business requirements into technical specifications
  • Ability to apply acquired knowledge from prior experience effectively in new situations (low to medium complexity)
  • Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
  • Experience in full software development lifecycle
  • Good analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to decompose assigned work into tasks with time estimates
  • Ability to work closely with technical team members in the fast-paced, agile-development environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others in team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in learning about and integrating into Telecommunication

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in an analytical position involving data management and collection, modeling and interpretation across complex data sets
  • Prior Telecom experience preferred
  • Some SQL Knowledge preferred
  • One to three years’ relevant experience working with solutions lifecycle development methodology preferred
